Ledger of William S. Kemper, 1848-1851.

The ledger contains farm labor accounts of Kemper at "South Bend." Many appear to be with members of the family of James R. Humpreys, probably a brother-in-law. The volume also contains a list of items from a property sale at South Bend, 1851 September 10, including names of purchasers, property sold, including livestock, and house furnishings, and price. Loose items in the ledger include two bills and a labor account.
